The Incarnation is Jesus, present in the world, truly man and truly God. This is understood and portrayed in many ways in the rich history of the Christian Tradition
asking ‘who is Jesus’ in the light of scripture (e.g. the resurrection), of history (e.g. Franciscan and other founders of religious movements), theology (e.g. the Paschal Mystery)
asking searching questions about the challenges Jesus put to people of his day and today to live authentic, just and compassionate lives
reflecting and proposing ways in which Jesus as God might be seen as active (Incarnate) in the world today and proclaiming the reign of God
debating whether Jesus’s way can be transformative today in situations marked by violence, rivalry, sexism, religious authoritarianism and other forms of injustice
